Oscar made his way into this world Thursday, August 14 @ 11:42 AM. He weighed in at 6 pounds 5.5 ounces (alot smaller than we both expected) and 21.25 inches long. Things went pretty good for the most part. We are sure enjoying our little O and think he is too cute for words! His little cry makes us both smile. We couldn't be happier!

I can't believe you guys are parents! Love the picture of him with his eyes wide open...he's definitely a looker. Can't wait for my turn to hold him...you know how I love newborns! Get lots of rest and we'll see you soon!!!
Oh Leslie- he's perfect! There's nothing better than holding your baby all day! Are you sure you don't need me to come out? I can't wait to meet my newest nephew. Give him a kiss from me!

We love the pictures, especially the one with his eyes wide open. Get out your baby picture Leslie. He looks a lot like you did. I'm going to miss holding him. You better be whispering in his ear that Gma & Gpa Harris love him so much. I hope you are taking care of yourself, Leslie! Please don't over do!!! You might think you're doing great but it takes time for the body to heal itself after the experience of childbirth. Take it easy. I assume that you are home by now. How long did you stay in the hospital? Are you going to breast feed? You've got to email us & let us know all the details. We're going to look into a phone card so we can call but we'll alert you via email because there is such a difference in time. Keep smiling & enjoying that little cutie. Tell Derrick hello. Hope he aced his finals!!!
